Richard L Stevens, PhD
Dr. Stevens was a member of the Departments of Medicine at Harvard Medical School and Brigham and Women’s Hospital for 36 years. He was the first PhD to achieve the rank of full Professor at those institutions. In 2015, Dr. Stevens became a Professor at the University of New South Wales, St. George Hospital, and University of Newcastle which are prominent academic institutions in Australia. He is presently Professor Emeritus at Harvard Medical School.

As noted in Research Gate and Google Scholars, Dr. Stevens is a leader in the fields of immunology, biochemistry, cell biology, and molecular biology. His scientific publications have been cited 17,000 times, with a citation rate of 300 a year over the last three decades. Dr. Stevens was a member of numerous national and international peer-review committees due to the breath and quality of his biomedical research. He also was funded continuously for 4 decades. Because of his extensive knowledge of scientific grant writing, he is quite knowledgeable in terms of what is needed to get a grant application funded in a highly competitive environment.

Yolanda Stevens
Ms. Stevens is an entrepreneur who has run a successful minority-owned business for decades. She’s the former Owner and Editor-in-Chief of Northend Agents which is one of the largest African-American newspapers in the United States. Her newspaper has a circulation of ~40,000. She turned over its day-to-day operations to her eldest daughter, but Ms. Stevens is still active in Northend Agents in an advisory capacity. She’s been honored by the NAACP.
During her time as Editor-in-Chief, Ms. Stevens managed Northend Agents at every level. That included leading its staff and reporters, as well as controlling the paper’s content and layout. She also edited its articles and sold its advertisements to deal with the paper’s finances. Her newspaper allowed Ms. Stevens to help liaise varied community events in Connecticut.
Ms. Stevens also has considerable expertise in social media and online publishing. She has created and co-edited THE REAL magazine, which provided an opportunity for talented young writers to showcase their work. This magazine deals with Real Talk, Real Issues, Real Solutions, and Real Teen experiences. It strives to reach out to the next generation of Americans by focusing on topics that are of genuine interest to them and to offer solutions to the unique problems they face.
Ms. Stevens is a highly-driven mover and shaker. She is an accomplished writer who has won numerous awards from the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) and other highly respected groups for her leadership in Connecticut’s Black and Hispanic populations.
Using Northend Agents as the annex to Hartford’s urban population, Ms. Stevens worked diligently with the city’s leaders and elected officials to improve the community. She had a visible presence in the city’s school system and also ran a remarkably successful internship program. Through this, she left an indelible mark on the community, especially to the education of its youth.
Bridging the Health Gap Affecting Minorities
Since Ms. Stevens is African American, she is keenly aware of the unique health and economic problems of the minorities. These include the health care disparities that Blacks and Hispanics face versus Caucasians. For example, COVID-19-infected African Americans are two and three-fold more likely to require hospitalization than infected Caucasians and Asians. One of her goals is to use this company to address some of the major health problems in America.
